Talkin’ Bout A Revolution

Change is never easy, but sometimes it’s a beautiful thing. I’m trying to mix it up a little bit. I’ve wanted a more custom look to this blog for a while, but I finally sat down tonight to play with the look and feel of the site. Honestly, I’m not sure what to make of it. Your feedback would be appreciated. Like a girl before a date, I’m trying on several different outfits until I find the perfect love-me-forever look.

For those of you “regulars” out there who visit my site often enough to know what it looked like before, you’ll recognize the difference immediately. And for anyone new, here are the before and after shots. It’s like Weight Watchers for blogs. (Although, I admit the “after” shot is kind of pointless because you’re already here…)

Before and After

There’s also been talk about change in another arena that hits close to home for me. Last week, Vanderbilt Student Communications announced it is considering selling the license to the radio station about which you’ve heard me speak so fondly in the past. The decision would mean that WRVU would be an online-only radio station. My friends and former DJs are up in arms about the possibility, as am I.

Free the Cricket was one of the most important aspects of my college career. And WRVU is how I met my most of my closet friends in college, including Patrick. This is one change I cannot stand behind. If you want to support our station, please join the Save WRVU Facebook page. Or, if you’re feeling extra riled up about it, you can write letters to the VSC. Here’s some additional information about what the move would mean for WRVU 91.1FM. Thanks for your support!
